Jason Wild is the President & Chief Investment Officer of JW Asset Management, an SEC-registered investment adviser with more than $600 million in assets under management. Starting his first fund in 1998 with under $100,000 in assets, Jason achieved early success by leveraging his background as a pharmacist finding undervalued, specialty pharmaceutical companies and focusing on long-term price appreciation.
After building a strong track record as a stock picker, Jason expanded his investment universe and applied his experience and extensive healthcare network to private equity opportunities. He has since established himself as a highly respected investor and sought-after partner for both public and private companies. Jason Klarreich joined JW Asset Management in 2006 and brings over 30 years of experience to his role as part of the senior leadership team. As the COO, Jason oversees the business and financial operations of the firm, while managing investor relations and fundraising activities. Jason is a proven leader, providing strategic oversight for all funds and team members, while also maintaining key relationships with portfolio companies. With a deep understanding of equity markets, trends, and regulatory frameworks, Jason has built and maintained a high-performing investor network, supporting operations in both public and private equity simultaneously. Jason began his career at Smith Barney, later holding roles at Morgan Stanley and Heartland Securities in sales, trading, risk management, and financial analysis. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Emory University.
David Pykon joined JW Asset Management in 2011 and has 20 years of equity and options trading experience. In addition to managing the firm’s equity trading platform, David handles daily cash management and financial reporting across all funds. Prior to joining the firm, David was a senior trader at both Mallette Capital Management and Panacea Asset Management. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Ben Pustay joined JW Asset Management in 2022 and has more than 12 years of relevant experience. As part of his role, Ben is responsible for overseeing compliance within the firm, as well as the accounting and financial reporting for each of the funds managed by JWAM. Prior to joining the firm, he was a manager at Integrated Solutions, fund controller at Prosiris Capital Management, and a senior associate at KPMG and Rothstein Kass. Ben earned a bachelor’s degree and MBA from Rutgers University.
Michelle Maranto joined JW Asset Management in 2018 and has more than eight years of relevant experience. As part of her role, Michelle manages fund administration and investor onboarding while also providing support for accounting and compliance functions. Prior to joining the firm, she was a financial administrator at Castle Harlan, Inc., an executive assistant at Union League Club, and a consultant at Bridgewater Associates. Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University and a graduate certificate from Adelphi University (where she also served as an assistant director in the Office of Student Affairs).
Sam Goldman joined JW Asset Management in 2021. As part of his role, Sam provides analytical support across investment, marketing, and financial reporting efforts. Sam recently earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Pennsylvania’s The Wharton School where he simultaneously worked as an analyst intern at Main Street Global LLC and at J. Goldman & Co., LP.
Jennifer Poku joined JW Asset Management in 2021 and has 25 years of experience. As part of her role, Jennifer provides administrative support for Jason Wild. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an executive assistant at Blue Harbour Group, Roger Ferris + Partners, Iris Wireless, NEC Unified Solutions, and at various Family Office practices. Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University and a specialized license for executive assistants from the Katherine Gibbs School.
